**Building Project Update**

The status of our Club Gym project has progressed to the Tendering Stage. Tenders have been sent to contractors who have expressed an interest in the Gym Contract. The tendering process is expected to have a 6-8 week timeline following which the returned tenders will be assessed by the Project Team and presented to the Executive Committee for their consideration and approval to proceed to construction stage. It is reasonable to assume at this point that construction will be post Christmas and will be a 12 month project from the date of contract signing. Further updates to follow.

**Volunteer Get Together Night**

Éire Óg Volunteers Night on this Saturday Oct 7th from 7.30pm. All volunteers involved in the club in any capacity are invited to join us for a few complimentary drinks and refreshments in the clubhouse. So whether you are a club officer, committee member, involved in coaching, making coffee or whatever the role do pop up!

Upcoming Club minor and adult championships

NB: our U21 on Thursday may change to 7.45pm, tbc, please check social media during the week

Our senior footballers exited the championship at semi-final stage last weekend after a gruelling extra time stint and penalty shootout. What a great couple of years we have had with them, back to back champions for 2021 and 2022; some absolutely smashing days and nights out have been had which will live long in the memories! Our thanks to the team and management for all the time they have put in to keeping the dream alive, time now for a well deserved (and temporary!) rest until the 2024 season begins.

Hard luck also to our Junior b hurlers & footballers who also finished for the year and to our intermediate camogie team who were also cruelly knocked out at the semi-final stage having been on top of the scoreboard for the majority of the game only to lose out after extra time was played.

Well done to our minor footballers who saw off the challenge of Corofin to book a spot in this year’s final v Wolfe Tones, that game will be on next Saturday or Sunday. Our last remaining adult team, Junior A footballers quarter final has been refixed for this Saturday at 4pm in Lissycasey. Let’s get out and support the lads on the day, Come on the Townies!
